Victoria Energy Compare (VEC) is a free, independent energy price comparison tool provided by the Victorian Government. Using the Victorian Energy Compare tool may enable you to save money by comparing offers from alternative energy providers.

Links are available within the Energy Dashboard for residential sites which are interval metered.

When you select to use these links, we will transfer you to the VEC site together with your consumption file where an energy profile will built and you can compare offers.

The VEC tool requires 12 complete months of consumption data as any less might have seasonal variation. When you have been at the property for less than 12 months, a complete file cannot be provided.

If your metering configuration has been altered during the past 12 months, your consumption file may not be complete. Meter re-configurations are required where you have installed solar generation for example.

Where we are able to provide a usage file, this will give you a faster, more accurate comparison.

However, when a consumption file is not provided, the user can complete a questionnaire which gathers information to build an energy profile and is then used to compare offers.
